Real Estate Projects and Construction

Real Estate Projects

Over the years, our lawyers have developed extensive and specific expertise in the real estate and construction sector.  Our notaries and lawyers, experts in real estate, public building, construction and tax law, successfully follow detailed real estate and urban planning projects. Together with our clients we carry out real estate transactions, analysing risks, benefits and time frames. Thanks to a clear joint vision, we can coordinate and oversee the work of a team, incorporating other construction specialists such as architects, urban planners and engineers. We continually monitor the development of construction technology and the relevant legal provisions. This ever-evolving process encourages us to develop exciting new internal concepts and systems that match the changing needs of our customers.

Construction

We carefully monitor our customers during and after the construction phase. We draw up total and general contractor contracts, architectural and engineering contracts, contracts for construction companies and craftsmen, taking into account the regulations and contract models drawn up by Swiss trade associations (SIA regulations, KBOB provisions, provisions of other professional categories).  Over the years we have also developed and consolidated specific expertise in the resolution of legal disputes that may arise during the construction phase; we organize and coordinate technical arbitrations and, in the most complex cases, offer our clients mediation services, further supported by the services of external consultants if necessary. If a dispute arises, we represent our clients before the arbitration and the ordinary Swiss Courts of first and second instance, as well as before the Federal Supreme Court.  Our clients are real estate developers in the residential construction sector, developers of commercial projects, craft and industrial companies, network infrastructure operators and public services.

Our legal services cover the following areas:

  • Real estate purchases and transfers
  • Real estate due diligence
  • Establishment of co-ownership schemes
  • Tax law (with specific attention to issues relating to the taxation of real estate profits)
