Lorenza Ponti Broggini was born in 1971. After completing her compulsory education in Massagno and obtaining her high school diploma in 1989, she studied law at the University of Zurich, where she graduated in 1995. When she finished her legal clerkship at the District Court of Mendrisio Nord and her legal and notarial trainee in a leading Law Firm, she was admitted to the bar in 1997.
In the same year she worked as a law clerk at the Administrative Cantonal Court Ticino, where she was able to deepen her knowledge of public and administrative law in all its various fields. In 2003, she was a legal clerk at the Land Planning Court, which was taken over by the Administrative Cantonal Court.
In April 2007 she resumed her forensic activity at an important Law Firm in Lugano.
In 2017, alongside Lorenzo Anastasi and Flavio Canonica, she established the Centoventitré studio Legale (2017-2019), a law firm specializing in public, administrative and construction law.
Lorenza Ponti Broggini is a co-founder and partner of the law firm Collegal (since 2020).
Her practice focuses mainly on building and construction law, expropriation, environmental law, public procurement, employment relationships, taxes and various contributions, as well as matters focused on civil and private law. In these areas she advises both institutional and private clients, in litigation as well as in extrajudicial settlements or legal opinions.
Since 2017, she teaches planning law at the specialisation course organised by the Institute for Continuing Education for managers of local authorities.
Since 2020, she teaches territorial planning and environmental technology for the geomatics technician course (AFC) organised by the Swiss centre for geomatics education
She is a member of the Board of directors of AEM SA, as well as of the Board of directors of EspaceSuisse Ticino and a municipal councillor in Capriasca.
Lorenza Ponti Broggini speaks Italian, German, English and French. She is registered with the Ticino Bar Registry and admitted to practice in all Switzerland.
