Criminal defence and victim protection

We assist victims of all types of crime through the various stages of criminal proceedings to enable them to obtain justice, as well as adequate compensation for the moral and economic damage suffered. We also defend people who are the subject of criminal investigations, in order to protect their rights as widely as possible and to pursue the principle of the presumption of innocence.

We often intervene in investigations of financial and property crimes. In this regard, our lawyers have been involved as defendants or as representatives of private claimants in important financial crack, bankruptcy and labour market cases.  However, criminal interventions can cover a wide range of areas, including, for example, different forms of crimes against personal integrity and against reputation. We have also gained important procedural experience in these areas.

The focus of our lawyers' defensive work, on behalf of both defendants and private claimants, does not only take place during the trial, but also in the pre-trial investigational stages, which are of increasing significance in Swiss criminal proceedings. In accordance with the Swiss forensic tradition, which does not know any "pure criminal lawyers", the transversal skills of our Firm prove to be a considerable strength in advocacy in criminal proceedings.

The partners of our Firm have the ability to compare criminal and civil litigation, for example, in relation to precautionary measures and seizure orders. We also assist in parallel disciplinary proceedings that may arise regarding persons subject to authorization and supervision (e.g. within the financial and health sector).

In addition, we explore the criminal aspects concerning the revocation of residence permits, driving licenses, or taxation matters.

We follow criminal procedures throughout Switzerland, in all national languages, as well as in English.
