Giovanni Molo was born in Lugano on November 18th, 1971. He studied economics and social sciences at the University of Geneva, graduating in 1994, and law at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), graduating in 1998. He also attended the London School of Economics (LSE), obtaining the degree of Master of science in 1995. Subsequently, alongside his professional activity, he completed his legal studies by obtaining an LL.M. in International Economic Law and European Law at the University of Lausanne in 2005 and, in 2016, a PhD in Law at the University of Geneva.

After completing his traineeship at one of the largest Swiss law firms, as well as at the District Court of Bellinzona and the Council of State of Canton Ticino, he was admitted to the Bar in Switzerland in 2001. 

Giovanni Molo was associate (2001-2008) and partner (2009-2019) of the Law Firm Bolla Bonzanigo & Associati; since 2020 he is co-founder, partner and member of the management Team at COLLEGAL Attorneys at Law.

He represents clients in judicial and arbitration proceedings and offers support in legal and commercial matters. In particular, he has assisted individuals, companies and public corporations in civil, commercial and banking law disputes, in criminal proceedings, in mutual legal assistance procedures, in employment disputes, as well as in administrative cases, particularly in the field of public procurement. He has provided assistance to financial intermediaries in the areas of compliance and contracts and he has been active in various M&A. In addition, he was appointed liquidator of a bank.

He teaches in three Master of advanced studies at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) in economic law and business crime, in business law and in tax law, as well as in SUPSI Bachelor's degree programs in business administration and in leisure management. He has held numerous conference and seminars for financial intermediaries and professionals in Switzerland and abroad. He was invited lecturer at the Universities of Como, Rome 3 and Lucerne.

Giovanni Molo speaks Italian, German, French and English. He also has some knowledge of Spanish. He is registered with the Ticino Bar Registry and admitted to practice in all Switzerland.
