Lorenzo Anastasi (1948) obtained his classical high school diploma at the Collegio Papio in Ascona in 1967. He continued his studies at the Faculty of Law of the University of Zurich, where he obtained his license in law in 1972. He completed his judicial traineeship and notarial practice at a leading law firm in Locarno, and after passing the corresponding exams he was admitted to the bar as well as to the notarial practice in 1974.

In 1975 he was elected as a substitute Investigating Judge for Sopraceneri, a position he held until 1979, when he was elected as Judge of the Court of Appeal, a position he held mainly at the Cantonal Administrative Court. As a Judge, he also worked in the Tax Chamber as well as in the Planning Chamber of the Court of Appeal.

In 1981 he obtained his doctorate from the Faculty of Law of the University of Zurich with a thesis on the judicial remedies of the Ticino Code of Civil Procedure, which has been published by Schulthess publishing house as part pf the Zürcher Studien zum Verfahrensrecht series.

He was the president of the cantonal administrative court for over twenty years. In 2009 he returned to the forensic activity with his own practice, remaining at the same time substitute Judge by the Court of Appeal until 2018.

In 2013, the State Council of Canton Graubünden appointed Lorenzo Anastasi as Commissioner for the municipality of Roveredo (Graubünden) with the task of managing current affairs and organising new elections.

Together with colleagues Flavio Canonica and Lorenza Ponti Broggini, he was co-founder of the law firm Centoventitré (2017-2019), a firm specialising in public, administrative and construction law.

Lorenzo Anastasi is co-founder and partner of the law firm Collegal (since 2020).

Over the years Lorenzo Anastasi has acquired expertise in various fields of public and administrative law, and in particular in sectors of activity with territorial impact. Lorenzo Anastasi is mainly active in the following areas: real estate and construction projects, energy and infrastructure, territorial planning and public building, environmental law, health law and public employment law.

He has published legal contributions in the construction sector.

He is a member of the Chamber for Lawyers and Notaries of the Court of Appeal.

He is also Chairman of the Supervisory Commission of the OTIA-Ordine Ticinese Ingegneri e Architetti.
